Homemade Pizza

One of the most enjoyable times of the day is when Chris and I make and enjoy dinner together.  We don't tend to use a cookbook-- just put whatever is in the fridge together and waaalaaa!  It usually turns out tastey although we have had our share of fails. We've always liked the sound of having people over and making pizza...we just never tried to make pizza....till the other night!

Chris found a recipe for the pizza dough in our Williams-Sonoma Baking Cookbook MMmmMmmM!!!
We started this adventure about 7:30PM not realizing the dough needed 1-2 hours to rise!!!  Lol we let it rise for about an hour...
My most awesome husband does it all-- including the dishes :o)

Toppings included onions, mushrooms, peppers and pepperoni...

WWWWWWOWWWWW!!!  Our first pizza :o)

Yes, it was a yummy as it looks!!!
We made 2 pizzas.  One day we will have a pizza stone but for now the pans work just fine...
It's always more fun to share a meal with friends.  Now we know how to make yummy PIZZA too!!! Who's the next lucky friends to try?  Nothing like a nice glass of wine with some homemade pizza at 10PM on a weeknight :o)

Patio Gardening at its BEST!

We are really excited to have a pretty large selection of herbs, vegetables and flowers growing on our patio garden this year.  Tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, squash, basil, dill, chives, cilantro, rosemary, mint, oregano, zinnias and marigolds!  Maybe our garden will save us some money this summer :)

A variety of tomatoes...cherry and beefsteak...
                                                 Thai and jalapeno peppers...

HERBS! Lots of them...and some pepper plants scattered too...

Trying out cucumber too in the back!

We have 2 of these "Topsy Turby" thingies...attempting yellow pear tomatoes and peppers
Can you see the little tomatoes?!
