37 Years of Marriage!

Happy 37th Anniversary Mom & Dad! That sure is a lot of years :o) It's been an amazing journey of ups and downs and it's an awesome thing (in today's world) to have parents who have been TOGETHER for 37 years! Thank you for shaping me into the girl I've become and supporting Chris and I as we start our lives together in marriage. We look up to you and love turning to you for advice and wisdom.

We love you Mom & Dad!

Good Morning!

Hey friends!  Just like so many people I've been slacking at the blog.  I am jumping back on the bandwagon and making a goal of 1 post a week...here it goes!  I really do love blogging and hopefully will get better over time.

I want to share the MANY blessings Chris and I have encountered over the last few weeks.  We are completely in awe.  There's no other way to explain it-- God is SO good to us.

We have been having so many problems with Chris's car (couldn't pass inspection, check engine light on, bad tires, AC out...and the list goes on and on)  BUT God is so good.  He provided a way for the car to pass AND Chris did a ton of research and figured out something about a sylanoid...and fixed (on his own!) the car...saving us probably well over $500!!!  Let's just say my husband is handy!  I sure don't know how to do much with cars but he really impressed me...had the car apart many times (at one point the car was going forwards in reverse hahaaaa) and now it runs without jumping into second gear.

I've started my new job, what a blessing.  It's taken a lot of time to adjust to full-time work (who would have thought?)  It is getting better everyday.  I am learning so much more than I ever thought I would working at a health dept.  I can admit I was very skeptical before I started.  God has been using many people and situations to teach me about judgment, other cultures and just how fortunate I am.  There have been a lot of ups and downs with this work, as usual with grant-based research but I am very excited about it!

Chris started teaching yoga classes a few times a week now!  He is so excited to get out there and teach.  We continue to pray for increased numbers at his classes and can't wait to see what's in store with them.  Chris and I have so much fun.  A few times a week we try to get outside (on our porch!) and do some yoga in the heat.  It's so relaxing...I'm so glad I met Chris because otherwise I probably would have never made the time to check out yoga...which is really fun and relaxing!

I am studying for the RD (Registered Dietitian) exam, which I plan to take in Sept.  I am very nervous about this exam but continue to work through the material and will do my best!  I keep telling myself I've been studying this stuff for 6 years!  I can't wait to have this exam behind me.

I gotta go to work now but wanted to update about our lives and where we've been...hope to be back again soon :o)
