The Monthly Pick

Hello from North Carolina!  Yes, we have been busy but we have also had so much fun enjoying this season in our lives =)
A few weeks ago Chris and I got to go on an afternoon date to Starwberries on 903, one of my favorite places to go around here.  It's a beautiful farm with a HUGE strawberry patch, farmstand, animals you can visit with and this year they had homemade ice cream!
We enjoyed picking lots of strawberries together, tasting a few here and there.  We wanted to pick enough strawberries to make our first attempt at making strawberry jam.  Last year, my mom-in-law Sharon taught me how she makes jam.  This year, in our next post I'll share with you our first experience.
We are looking forward to going back to the farm next to 903 to pick blueberries, blackberries and peaches as they come into season in the next few months!

This was the first year we came at the BEGINNING of the season; there were SO many strawberries!

Beautiful strawberry patch

We picked 28lbs of strawberries =)

Homemade strawberry ice cream, delightful.

We love going and visiting with all the animals...including bunnies and chickens!

I spy an incredibly handsome man =)

The Story of Our Life.

Hello to the blogger world, we've been so busy!  The story of our life.  It is so neat how God continues to show us that He knows exactly what we need and when we need it.  Completely BLOWS my mind.  We serve an AWESOME God.            With that said, I want to share a very fun, special time Chris and I got to spend a few weeks ago.  Chris and I really enjoy spending time together, date nights are high on our priority list.  We try to go on a date at least once a week or every other week.  Our last date was so much fun.  I know I say this all the time but I love the fact that we enjoy the simple things, together.  Thank you Jesus for a husband that loves to wonder around Plant And See Nursery as much as I do!  We spent an entire afternoon wandering around a local nursery we just discovered.  It was so special and fun.  We brewed a fresh cup-o-joe and made our way through the nursery.  Chris was awed by the orchids and wanted one of each.  I was mesmerized by the endless, beautiful flowers!!!  I can't wait to have flower beds of my own one day.  Chris told me to pick out a flower, gerber daiseys are one of my favorite flowers.  It took me forever but I chose the most beautiful  gerber.  It now has a new home on our porch, I just love it.  It amazes me to look at the flowers and see the intricate details and beauty of the flowers God designed.

I'll be posting again soon, lots of fun happenings around the Sisneros house =)
