Recycling the Panettone

Every year at Christmas my Nana buys us Panettone.  We never know what to do with it!
This year, Nana got Chris and I our very own Panettone-- so we decided to use our creativity and find something yummy to make of this HUGE, SWEET, RAISIN-FILLED bread.

We decided to make french toast!

MMmmMMm!!! Our french toast turned out SO good.  Chris and I both agree it was the best texture we'd had for french toast with loads of raisins and a hint of orange flavor.  It was quite impressive!

Chris and I thought we were so good by coming up with this idea of using the Panettone to make french toast =)  Then, I looked online to find a picture of the Panettone and realized there's a TON of recipes out there to use the Panettone.  Here's a few we'd like to try with our remaining half of Panettone and in the years to come--

We can't wait till next Christmas when Nana gives us another Panettone and we can get creative with another yummy treat =)  Sounds like a great family tradition...turning the dreaded Panettone into a yummy treat to share!
