Happy Happy Happy

Let the festivities begin!  Sunday, March 10 was Jessica's birthday.  Today-- Monday, March 11 is Chris's birthday.  Tomorrow--  March 12 is our 2nd Wedding Anniversary.  Yes, we planned it that way.  All at once...a huge week of celebration!

Saturday we met Jessica's parents in Raleigh--they got in early enough to enjoy dinner together. We went to this really eclectic place called The Flying Biscuit.  It was REALLY good food, recommended by a friend.  Mom and Dad even got to try collards for the first time and both liked them (Dad even ordered them the next night!).  Jessica tried good-ole Shrimp & Grits for the very first time-- it was delish!  So much I even had it the next morning for breakfast too. YUM.

We got to have breakfast with Mom and Dad and wish them off well on their trip to New Orleans.  Mom loaded us up with a few of Jessica's most favorite things--  Caramel Cadbury Eggs, YELLOW Peeps and a Yankee Candle-- Thanks Mom!

We went hiking at Umstead National Park that afternoon.  We enjoyed the absolutely BEAUTIFUL day with a  3 mile hike.  It was serene.  We enjoyed talking and nature.  There's nothing quite like the quiet of nature.

Today we celebrated Chris's birthday!  We got to meet up and get sushi for lunch and bop around Lowes for some inspiration.  Tonight we had dinner with John and Sharon =)  Cranberry Chicken, smashed potatoes and corn-- it was SO good!  Sharon also made us a scrumptious chocolate cake topped with homemade whipped cream.  It was YUM.  Thank you so much!  After dinner we had a bonfire out back and enjoyed watching the guys poke the fire =)

I've certainly got a lot to learn about photography at night in the dark!  John taught me some about each setting tonight focusing on the light above.  It was so fascinating...I can definitely learn a lot from John!  I'm looking forward to the next full moon to get out there and learn.

Tomorrow we will be celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary with full work schedules and a meeting that night.  Sounds like a typical Chris and Jessica type of day.  We will post again soon.  Thanks for keeping up with us, we appreciate you stopping in.
